With this latest painting in the Southland series, I wanted to capture the sensory experience of living in a biodiversity hotspot - the shimmer of filtered sun, the scent of citrus blossoms floating on the ocean breeze, the casual abundance of fresh produce we take for granted in a place where everything grows.
